There are hundreds of mobile games that you can download straight from your App Store or Play Store. You can easily kill time boredom with these mobile games. One such game that we have in mind is Arknights. What is Arknights, you ask?
Arknights
If you are looking for an RPG tower defense game, Arknights is what you should consider playing. A player assumes the identity of “The Doctor” who is employed by Rhodes Island, which is a pharmaceutical company. The Doctor takes on an adventure in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian world, and his main goal is to free the world from all types of fatal diseases.
Of course, one can’t play a tower defense game if the player doesn’t have any allies. These allies are called Operators, and they are positioned in the main line of defense. Their main objective is to aid The Doctor in defending their base from the enemies called the Reunion Movement, who are focused on toppling the government for revenge.
In 2019, Hypergryph and Studio Montagne released the game in China, but the Global Server was only released in January 2020 by Yostar. The game received a lot of praise because of its perfect storyline, amazing graphics, notable character designs, and extensive lore.
Arknights Operators
Operators have one of the biggest roles in the game. These operators come in various classes and skills that are ideal for specific situations. Overall, how you assemble your team and Operators will have a big impact on how you progress through the game.
- Vanguard – These Operators should be the first ones that you position on the battlefield. They supply you with Deployment Points that you will need in deploying other Operators. If you have played Plants VS Zombies before, these Deployment Points are like the Suns you need to place your defenders.
- Medic – As the name suggests, they are in charge of healing other Operators.
- Guard – These Operators are the ones that absorb the physical damage dealt in the field.
- Caster – Operators that deal long-range magic damage. It is worth noting that these Operators have extremely great damage but have low attack speeds.
- Sniper – Similar to Casters, Snipers also deal long-range damage but have faster attack speeds.
- Special – They have special and unique utilities.
- Support – These operators can summon minions, debuff enemies, and buff your team.
- Defender – These Operators act like a blockade capable of blocking a maximum of three enemies at once. Defenders cost higher Deployment Points to be deployed into battle, but they are very durable.
Building Your Team
Team building is an important part of Arknights. Since Arknights is a tower defense game, you will have to be quick with your thoughts, and you have to be good at strategizing. Arknights is packed with a lot of amazing Operators that you can freely choose from. However, you must not have any favorites and just use a specific set of Operators.
You should always have a well-adjusted set of Operators that will aid you in completing the stage. You can position a maximum of 12 Operators. Although, you should put into mind that there are certain stages that you will only be able to deploy less than 12 Operators.
Ideally, a balanced team consists of a Healer, Vanguard, Guard, Sniper, and a Caster. Of course, you can also combine other combinations that you think will help you complete and finish the game. What’s good about this game is that even low-ranked Operators have decent powers, so you really wouldn’t have any difficulty using them.
Takeaway
All in all, Arknights is a fun and exciting way to kill boredom. It is certainly a game that you should consider trying if you like tower defense types of games. The game is also unselfish in compensating for all your efforts and won’t leave you hanging with the rewards.
Arknights also have weekly events that you can look forward to. This means that they are planning on releasing new characters, events, and missions. In conclusion, you have to try this game out, and you will surely be surprised how engaging and fun Arknights truly is.
